This boat came to us with new owners and needed a full refit. As always, the first step are multiple discussions around specification and budgets and how to create a new home. This started with deciding on essential requirements including which windows to keep and which to weld up. We then moved to spray foam the interior, being an older boat it had minimal insulation and as such would be very difficult and costly to keep warm and no doubt had big issues with condensation. Next priority was heating, because of the position of its future mooring solid fuel was not an option so a Refleks diesel stove was chosen with a window, giving the right ambiance, and a coil to take heat to radiators in other parts of the boat. Full but simple kitchen, plumbing in place for future shower and basin - which owners have since added. New battery bank and solar panels with dump function to the immersion in the calorifier. Oak flooring was reused to good effect and a boat safety scheme examination completed.
